Herman Brouwer (Member of the General Committee)

Current employment:
-Senior advisor 'Development Policy and Institutional Change', Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation.

Herman holds an MA in Development Communication from Nijmegen University and has done additional courses on Change Management, and Multi-Stakeholder Dialogues. He works with the Wageningen University's Centre for Development Innovation as a senior advisor on development policy and institutional change. He advises clients such as government agencies, UN agencies and NGOs on increasing the effectiveness of their development cooperation programmes. He also regularly conducts evaluations and training courses. A particular area of interest is how to facilitate collaboration between development NGOs, governments and private sector. 
Prior to working with the university, he worked for 6 years with the Dutch development NGO ICCO as a Programme Specialist on Capacity Development, advising colleagues and partner organizations in Asia, Africa and Latin America on capacity building programming. Prior to this, he worked among others in Cambodia where he managed programme portfolios in the areas of food security, health care, aquaculture, microcredit, demining, and conflict transformation.
